Beyoncé attended the Saint Heron party in Los Angeles on Monday wearing a tulle House of CB minidress paired with an emerald green velvet cape by beloved Algerian abaya designer Faiza Bouguessa. The key piece by Bouguessa retails at AED/SAR 3,471 and has since sold out, to no surprise. The pop star and mother of three took the modest robe, traditionally worn as an overlay by our region’s style muses, and made it her own by throwing it over a form-fitting minidress. The jewel-toned outfit was a sartorial departure from the Gucci and Saint Laurent pieces she’s been championing as of late, and was pulled off with equal aplomb. The singer punctuated the outfit with matching emerald-toned accessories.

Recently, regional finds have become a regular part of Beyoncé’s wardrobe. She selected a custom-made turban by Tunisian milliner Donia Allegue while vacationing with husband Jay-Z. Beyoncé revealed her choice in an adorable music video for her song “Die With You,” in honor of her and Jay-Z’s ninth wedding anniversary in April. Also, while pregnant with their twins, Sir and Rumi Carter, the singer opted for designs by Dubai-based maternity label Mina Roe.
