Kneeling on a tuft of ivy with a rose bush archway backdrop, Beyoncé posted a picture on Instagram to announce that she’s not only pregnant, but expecting twins. The superstar wrote: “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters.” Donning a chocolate brown, sheer bra by Agent Provocateur and powder blue silk briefs from Liviara, Beyoncé completed her look with matrimonial undertones by shading her face with a pistachio veil.
If it’s any indication on Beyoncé and 5-year-old Blue Ivy’s mommy-and-me dressing moments, the arrival of the twins will pose a triple dose of matching “mini me” outfits. On a number of occasions, Beyoncé and Blue Ivy have stepped out in coordinating looks. On the red carpet at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, Beyoncé wore a mint green, shimmering Francesco Scognamiglio Haute Couture gown, while her offspring wore a complementing dusty pink, metallic Mischka Aoki dress with Giuseppe Zanotti sneakers. The Carter girls also stepped out in a bevy of matching Gucci ensembles; there’s also a throwback Halloween costume paying tribute to Michael and Janet Jackson.
