Beyoncé has once again shown her love for Arab designers, and this time around, it was on her immensely-popular and fashion-filled Renaissance World Tour. For the sold-out event’s opening in Cologne, Germany, the Grammy-winner took the stage in a custom outfit by Georges Hobeika.

The Lebanese couturier’s bespoke design featured a figure-hugging silhouette in a nude-colored tulle which was hand-embroidered with Swarovski crystals, and sparkling sequins. Gleaming pearls in the form of a choker elevated the off-shoulder catsuit while cascading pearl chains on the back added another layer of glamour. According to the Beirut-based brand, the special creation came to life via 17 working petits-mains and 260 hours of embroidery and tailoring. Beyoncé completed the look with black velvet opera gloves and styled her blonde hair in voluminous waves for all-round va va voom.

This is not the first time the star has tapped Georges Hobeika for an extraordinary custom look and subsequently made headlines for it. For the Wearable Art Gala in 2019, The Lion King star promoted the film in an embellished nude and gold-toned bodysuit by the Lebanese designer. The highlight of the outfit? A lion’s head on the bodice with its mane made out of hand-painted feathers. “Beyonce represents independence, strength, and pride, just like the lion,” Hobeika said at the time. “She is a successful entrepreneur, a wife, and a mother. She is a source of motivation for so many women around the world, and I believed that expressing her strength as a lion was the best way to represent her fearlessness.”
