All the Best Looks from the 2021 Venice Film Festival So Far

The 78th edition of the Venice Film Festival took off yesterday with many stars already serving high fashion moments on the red carpet. There was no shortage of Arab representation on day one as Lebanese TV presenter Raya Abirached, Egyptian actor Yasmine Sabri, Saudi filmmaker Fatima Al-Banawi, and Emirati anchor Mahira Abdelaziz made appearances in stunning ensembles. Sabri arrived in a bright pink floor-grazing Roberto Cavalli dress with a Cartier necklace, while Abirached championed Arab talent in a sequined dress from Syrian couturier Rami Al Ali’s SS21 collection, paired with Bulgari jewels. Abdelaziz opted for a head-to-toe Maison Valentino look which included a bright red caped dress and the Rockstud box bag, and Al-Banawi went for a purple gown by Tony Ward Couture and a Cartier necklace.

From September 1 to 11, the festival will showcase highly-anticipated films including Spencer and Dune — the premieres of which are sure to result in noteworthy sartorial moments from some of the biggest names in the industry.
