Ever wondered what the best feeling in the world is? A strong contender is the warmth of sliding into your coziest winter jacket, and that’s exactly what we witnessed the royals doing this week. Always on-the-go, Queen Rania was spotted topping trending charts in a long mauve winter coat form high street favorite Zara while visiting Tal Al Rumman Women’s Cooperative in Jordan, and on the other side of the globe, Kate Middleton followed suit. This week, the Duchess of Cambridge was seen visiting London’s Foundling Museum in smart winter coat. According to reports, this wasn’t the first time the Duchess has worn this layer. A strong advocate for recycling pieces, Middleton was first spotted in this piece back in January 2020.

Another noteworthy fashion moment within the region came to us from the screening of Netflix’s very first Arabic film adaptation, Perfect Strangers, where Egyptian icon Mona Zaki walked the red carpet in a sultry black velvet gown by Lebanese designer Sandy Nour.

This week, we also witnessed a fashion phenomenon during Prada’s Milan Fashion Week menswear show. Fashion designer and creative director for Prada, Raf Simons stunned the crowd when actor Kyle MacLachlan opened the show. And that wasn’t all—the showcase was replete with famed names, and was full of surprising moments.

Another exciting moment came our way via a special auction of the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1s. In case you missed it, 200 pairs of the luxury sneakers will be put on auction soon with the intention of having the proceeds go to the late Virgil Abloh’s scholarship fund for Black fashion students.

On a sad note, the fashion community also mourned a major loss this week, with the untimely death of fashion icon and former Vogue creative director, André Leon Talley, who passed away in New York. His contributions in his field will be remembered for years to come.
