The Best Dressed Celebrities on the Oscars 2019 Red Carpet

On Sunday night, actors, directors, models, and industry insiders descended upon Los Angeles’s Hollywood & Highland Center in droves to attend the 91st edition of the annual Academy Awards. As with every major award ceremony, the red carpet welcomed a parade of celebrities who arrived wearing their Sunday best, including stunning creations by Arab designers. Lebanese filmmaker Nadine Labaki stunned in a cream-colored, ruffled, asymmetric Elie Saab gown while Molly Sims glided down the red carpet in a metallic silver Zuhair Murad creation that featured long sleeves and cut-out sides. Hannah Beachler made history as the first African-American woman to win an Oscars for Production Design for her work in box office smash “Black Panther”, and for the occasion chose a crimson, ruffled, flamenco-inspired design by Rami Al Ali.

Other A-listers to turn heads include Lady Gaga, who won Best Original Song award, arrived in a black Alexander McQueen gown with padded hips and floor-trailing train, which she accessorized with matching, long gloves and a Tiffany & Co necklace. Meanwhile, Best Actress nominee Yalitza Aparicio, who stole the show in a beaded, baby blue dress from Rodarte, proved that you don’t always need to take home an award to be a winner.
