Bella Hadid Shows Off New Longer Lengths

For some, the heat of summer days tends to elicit a want of blunt chops or ponytails worn taut or tousled. But this season, it seems Bella Hadid—the queen of the slicked midi-knot—may have a counter proposal, one which could have been inspired by Rapunzel, or better yet, her older sister Gigi.

In New York City this weekend, the half-Palestinian super showed off brunette lengths styled to skim her waist, the collective of bouncy, glossy curls designed for coquettish hair flips and ample finger raking. The look was equal parts romantic and bombshell, and offered a departure from the younger Hadid’s usual menu of sleek, not-a-hair-astray styles. A swirl of bronzer and an equally warm smoky eye kept the moment balmy, as did a slightly-sheathed leg reveal, the showing of skin serving as a signature even in the midst of the aesthetic switch-up. From her soft curls at Cannes to this interminable, muse-worthy iteration, for Bella, sunnier days mean an infusion of extra texture and length.

Hadid was pictured en route to a Dior beauty launch, which celebrated the new Dior Backstage collection. Peter Philips hosted a dinner at Frenchette in New York with guests including Bella Hadid, Nina Dobrev, Lili Reinhart, Winnie Harlow, and Rose Bertram.

Hadid played a part in the new collection, working closely with Dior on a contour palette. The range of makeup was created with inclusivity in mind and includes 40 foundation shades. The atmosphere was cozy, as guests including Ally Aflalo, Alana O’Herlihy, and Liv Perez slid into seats at long tables topped with pale pink peonies. Even as the candles burned down, the tables stayed lively with conversation long into the night.
