Models.com have crowned Bella Hadid Model of the Year 2016 in the Industry’s Vote category for female models. The award was determined by 250 top names in the industry, including designers, editors, photographers, casting directors, and makeup artists. The 20-year-old beauty, born to Palestinian real estate mogul Mohamed Hadid and former Dutch model Yolanda Foster, has had a stellar year. Amongst other accolades, she was named Dior’s beauty ambassador, making her the first woman of Palestinian roots to land the role at the storied Parisian brand.

Signed by IMG Models, Hadid scored her first Vogue cover by fronting Vogue Turkey’s May issue, before landing the September issue of Vogue Paris alongside Taylor Hill. Since her first major runway debut at Tom Ford’s Los Angeles show in February 2015, the model took the catwalk by storm by walking in over 40 shows for numerous major brands, including Chanel , Balmain, Versace, and Miu Miu, alongside her Victoria’s Secret show debut last month in Paris. In addition to being ranked as one of the most booked models by casting directors, she fronts big-name campaigns from the likes of Givenchy, Calvin Klein , and J.W.Anderson . In addition to her modeling career, Bella is expanding her resume to include the title “designer”, after announcing that she’s working on a fashion line in collaboration with Chrome Hearts.

Following closely behind is older sister Gigi Hadid, who was named runner-up of Model.com’s Readers’ Choice category. The 21-year-old model, who took home the Readers’ Choice vote in 2015, also scooped up the International Model of the Year award at this year’s British Fashion Awards.
