The range of the star’s wardrobe and style is no secret, with the singer opting for everything from dazzling gowns to bold suits when making a public appearance. This week, Balqees championed traditional Moroccan design in a glittering kaftan for a concert at the 20th edition of the Festival des Plages (Beaches Festival) in M’diq. Created by Moroccan designer Fatima Zahra Elfilali-Echchafiq’s couture brand Maison Fatim, the radiant red piece combined intricate gold and bronze embroidery. Featuring wide sleeves, and a slit at the front, the kaftan was cinched at the waist by a gold belt. Stylist Cedric Haddad paired the look with gold jewelry, while Balqees wore her bob in soft waves, and sported a bronzed glam from her own brand Bex Beauty.

Pictures from the concert shared by Balqees show her wearing the traditional fez hat and holding up the Moroccan flag while a large crowd dances to her music. The singer reflected on her performance in a heartfelt caption, thanking her fans in attendance, and His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco. “The concert was a turning point in my career, attended by nearly half a million people in Morocco, particularly in M’diq, to celebrate Youth Day,” she wrote. “All my love and congratulations on this occasion to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, and to the entire Moroccan people for the warm welcome at the Beaches Festival.” She added, “Congratulations to all those in charge of Maroc Telecom for this great success. Morocco is always at the top. May God elevate you as you have elevated me and never let me down. I hope I can repay you. The number we achieved yesterday broke all the audience’s records.”
