Balqees Fathi certainly knows how to put on a show— and we’re not just talking about her performances. Whether she’s serenading guests at private Saudi weddings or rocking the stage at music festivals, the Yemeni singer has a well-documented track record of upping the ante on glamour, with a penchant for statement dresses and dazzling jewelry. Her most recent look is no exception.
On Tuesday, the 30-year-old singer was in the emirate of Al Ain to perform a medley of her hits at a private wedding ceremony, and for the occasion donned a billowing, princess-worthy dress from Lebanese couturier Rami Kadi. The dazzling, blush-toned creation, which was plucked from the label’s Fall 2019 Couture offering, featured a high-neck and long sleeves, and was encrusted with hundreds of tiny, laser-cut glass stones. Her hair was raked back into a high chignon, drawing further attention to her sculptural diamond earrings from Lebanese jewelry label Yeprem.
Fathi makes it a point to champion regional labels. Recently, she’s been pictured rocking designs by the likes of Rami Al Ali, Azzi & Osta, Charbel Karam, amongst others. We can’t wait to see what she’ll wear next, after all, with New Years Eve coming up, we could certainly use some glamorous inspo.
