Azzedine Alaïa is launching an edit of its Spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection exclusively with online retailer Net-a-Porter on Thursday, reports WWD. The e-commerce website will stock 60 pieces from the luxury brand’s latest spring collection, including classic knit dresses, maxi-skirts, and denim. “We wanted to provide our customer with a wide offering, so we’ve bought a variety of the classic knit dresses in different colorways, with varying sleeve lengths and hemlines,” says Holly Russell, senior buyer at Net-a-Porter, in a statement.
Alaïa beauty products will also be available for the first time alongside the RTW collection. The beauty offering will feature a lineup of candles, perfume, bath, and body products. This is the first time that the house of Alaïa will provide its ready-to-wear pieces online. Net-a-Porter and The Outnet (a website under the Yoox Net-a-Porter group) already stock Alaia shoes, handbags, and accessories. But this launch is certainly a game changer for loyal Alaïa fans across the globe.
