Robert Cavalli, son of one of the most celebrated designers in history, Roberto Cavalli, has the mindset of a young creative, fiercely invigorated to use the tragic situation the world now finds itself as a trigger to establish something new. Following in his father’s footsteps, he launched his own menswear label, Triple RRR – think decadent Florentine dandy, with a focus on opulent fabrications and signature robes de chambre in silk satin – for the Fall 2018 season, and continues to find inspiration in the visual heritage honed by his father. At home, we find he inhabits a world as positive and bold as his design aesthetic…
“I live in a robe; I’ve focused my identity around one. They make me feel elegant and at the same time relaxed and super comfortable. I don’t believe in tracksuits – a robe is my go-to outfit for every day. I love to feel special for every occasion, even when I’m simply spending time within my own walls, especially if I have beautiful guests over.”

“Crystals and flowers are just the most amazing combination, aren’t they? In my house I live between fresh flowers picked from the garden and collections of stones from all over the world. I love the energy I get from each stone and I get inspired by the full moon when I take all the stones out to recharge.”

“My love for parrots stems from my father’s fascination with these incredible animals. I grew up in a house full of animals: we have parrots of every age, up to 40 years old and they speak. Some are sweet, some are naughty…we found pleasure in teaching them a few bad habits! But I believe that’s what makes a family. I’m obsessed by their amazing colors, especially my parakeet Tommaso (pictured here), who inspired some of my favorite prints.”

This Triple RRR mask is my way to give back, to make you feel graceful and to start this new era with the right intention. I’m a beauty creator, an aesthete. I wanted to create something to make people feel beautiful in this time of uncertain clarity.”
