Jean Paul Gaultier to Show at the Inaugural Arab Fashion Week in Riyadh

Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2017. Indigital

The official schedule for the hotly-anticipated debut of Arab Fashion Week in Riyadh is here. Set to take place at the Ritz Cartlon from March 26 to 31, the five-day event will be featuring collections from both homegrown designers and international names looking to enter the Arab market, including honorary guests Roberto Cavalli and Jean Paul Gaultier. Gaultier previously collaborated with Saudi-based homeware label, Aura, on a limited-edition dellah.

Arab Fashion Week, which is a nonprofit organization that represents 22 countries across the Arab world, aims to nurture local talent. For its upcoming debut, the ready-to-wear and pret-a-porter designers who will be showcasing their collections span from all points of the globe, including the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Italy, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, the United States, and Saudi Arabia, of course. In addition to runway presentations, there will be trunk shows held in partnership with Harvey Nichols in Riyadh, which will offer guests the opportunity to meet the designers and place orders.

In an effort to stay in line with the Kingdom’s conservative culture, Arab Fashion Week will be open to female attendees only. Below, see the full schedule of who will be presenting when at Riyadh Arab Fashion Week. The countdown starts now.
