From Zuhair Murad to Bil Arabi, Discover the New Arab Designer Store Openings in the Middle East


With the Middle Eastern fashion industry growing at an unparalleled rate, many around the world hail the region as a new capital for sartorial excellence. Lebanese couturier Zuhair Murad has been hailed as one of the most prominent Arab designers today, having dressed international celebrities such as Beyoncé, Candice Swanepoel, Deepika Padukone, and many more. Now the renowned designer has announced the opening of a new flagship boutique in Doha – the luxury market in the city is rapidly developing. Located in the heart of the city on the island of The Pearl, the store welcomes select clientele by showcasing the latest ready-to-wear and bridal collections. The elegant and contemporary interiors of this newly opened location hope to communicate the brand’s new, modern identity.

Elie Saab


Elie Saab is another Lebanese designer who has been making waves in the industry for quite some time – he is the first Lebanese to be admitted to the fashion industry’s governing body, Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. The luxury fashion house is also focused on expanding in the Middle East, a new flagship store has recently opened in Via Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The boutique offers a fully immersive experience of the label with ready-to-wear and bridal collections, kidswear, accessories, fragrances, and a private haute couture salon. Earlier this year, Elie Saab also opened boutiques in Doha and Abu Dhabi further cementing their commitment towards expansion in the Gulf.

Homegrown jewelry brand Bil Arabi lies at the crossroads of art, illustration, and design as it embodies the essence and beauty of modern Arabic calligraphy, the iconic raison d’être of founder and Creative Director Nadine Kanso. Now with Majid Al Futtaim, the brand is bringing its first retail store experience to THAT Concept Store, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai. Under the theme of self-expression, customers are invited to discover Bil Arabi’s exclusive collections, history, craftsmanship, and inspiration in a custom-designed space by award-winning architect Carl Gerges. To commemorate this moment in the Bil Arabi journey an exclusive collection designed for infants will also be available titled ‘Tiny Bling’.
