Anne Hathaway has a major fan following around the globe, and for good reason. Not only has she played some iconic characters (every fashion girl loves Andy Sachs, while every underdog can relate to Mia Thermopolis), she also nails every glamorous ensemble she dons on the red carpet. While her signature style leans towards the refined, her latest outing showcases her daring side.

At the New York premiere of her next film, The Idea of You, Hathaway stole the spotlight in a traffic-stopping Versace dress that was all about bombshell glamour. Her strapless red dress boasted daring cut-outs and a meticulously structured bodice, complemented by a graceful train. Hathaway elevated her look with dazzling Bulgari diamond jewelry — think diamond and emerald shoulder grazers, and a selection of sparkling rings — and red velvet pointy-toed pumps.

As for her beauty look, Anne Hathaway’s red dress was complemented with barely-there, au naturel makeup comprising of a classic cat eye, a flawless base, and nude-pink lips, and a sleek hairstyle that put her eyebrow-grazing bangs in the spotlight. Given her bold outfit, the less-is-more approach worked fantastically for her day out, perfectly balancing out her entire look.

For those not yet acquainted with the plot of her latest film, Hathaway takes on the role of a 40-year-old single mother who embarks on a surprising romance with a 24-year-old from a boy band (played by It-boy of the moment, Nicholas Galitzine). While movie lovers gear up to watch the movie, it seems like another exciting project is just around the corner for Hathaway’s fans, with the actor confirming a possible Princess Diaries 3. “We’re in a good place,” she said in an interview recently“That’s all I can say. There’s nothing to announce yet. But we’re in a good place.”
