Approximately one year after departing her role as co-founder and creative director of Oscar Tiye, Amina Muaddi is making her return to the world of shoes. The self-titled line, which the Jordanian-Romanian designer unveiled on August 24, is available for purchase at Level Shoes, Farfetch, Net-a-Porter, and Aishti in Lebanon, in addition to other retailers. With an A-list following that includes the likes of Gigi Hadid, Miranda Kerr, and Kylie Jenner, the designer is known for creating sophisticated (and rather sultry) footwear, and her debut collection for her eponymous range is no different.

The dazzling offering, entitled Season 0, is accompanied with a campaign photographed by Vito Fernicola and starring French model Tina Kunakey, who tied the knot with actor Vincent Cassel in France a mere two days ago. The collection, which was a year in the making, boasts 45 distinct styles that include pumps, sling-backs, mules, boots, and sandals in an array of vibrant colors and holographic designs, with names such as “Barbara”, “Gilda”, “Holli”, and “Sabrina”. And just like every great shoe designer has their signature—think Christian Louboutin’s red soles, Manolo Blahnik’s jeweled buckle, Sophia Webster’s wings—each piece in the new collection features a flared stiletto heel with a geometric base, that is set to become the unmistakable Amina Muaddi trademark.

Muaddi, who creates the footwear for French couturier Alexandre Vauthier, began the design process for the brand while holidaying in Ibiza last summer. Each shoe is designed in her Paris studio before being sent off to Parma, where they are manufactured.

“I have been working hard on this project for about a year now and I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love for work,” the designer said on Instagram. “I hope you like Amina Muaddi as much as I do and I wish you enjoy wearing it as much as I enjoyed creating it for you, amazing women of today.”
