The corset dress is fast becoming a celebrity favorite with Amina Muaddi being the latest one to take the trend out for a spin.

While in LA to attend the star-studded Versace show, the Jordanian-Romanian accessories designer opted for a lime green number from the fashion house. The strappy dress featured a bodycon silhouette with defined ribbing, serving as the perfect pick for a springtime soirée, or in Muaddi’s case, the Elton John Aids Foundation’s 31st Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party. The designer styled the dress with gold chunky chain link heels from her namesake brand and sported a coiffed hairstyle. Muaddi viewed the show in another statement piece, a black high-neck dress with a slit on the torso, and later slipped into a second black gown with a plunging neckline.

Corset dresses and other pieces with similar details have also been favored by both, younger and veteran stars of late. Most recently, at the 2023 Oscars, The Little Mermaid lead Halle Bailey wore a tulle corset dress while Academy Award-winner Jamie Lee Curtis walked the carpet in a crystal-covered design from Dolce & Gabbana. Jenna Ortega, the 20-year-old breakout star from Netflix’s Wednesday also put a fresh spin on the style during the press tour of her new film Scream VI by opting for an olive green Dion Lee corset suit. Elsewhere in New York, Keira Knightley made a rare red carpet appearance on Tuesday wearing Vivienne Westwood corsetry which also recalled her Pride & Prejudice and The Duchess days.
