Trust Amina Muaddi to put her spin on the season’s most coveted style of dress. The Jordanian-Romanian footwear designer recently wore a sultry cut-out piece for a night-out, cementing its place as the ideal party number before party season has even taken off.
Made popular by brands Monôt and Nensi Dojaka, dresses and separates of this kind have been favored by Kylie Jenner, Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa, and more often are crafted with one type of fabric. Muaddi’s black dress, however, came with two contrasting bases. Picked from Courrèges’ Spring/Summer 2022 Ready-to-Wear collection, the piece featured a glossy vinyl halter bandeau with a sternum cutout, and below it, a matte ribbed knit material that started just below the chest and was stretchy enough to flatter her curves while having two slits on either side.

The designer paired the daring dress with black strappy, pointed-toe heels with rock studs from her eponymous label, and kept accessories to a minimum with a pair of spiky earrings and dainty bracelets. Complementing the outfit, Muaddi chose to wear her hair slicked back in a glam ponytail and added drama with black smoky eyes.

A fan of looks that have people talking, Muaddi wore another head-to-toe black look during couture week. In a throwback post shared on her Instagram, the designer can be seen wearing a vinyl hooded coat dress by Alexandre Vauthier, paired with stiletto boots from her own brand.
