The Clooneys were spotted hand-in-hand on a recent night out in Lake Como, Italy. The actor wore a charcoal suit over a black button-down, while the barrister selected an embellished white slip that is sure to land on scores of brides’ Pinterest boards.
In the past, the human rights lawyer has served up plenty of date night inspiration, giving a masterclass in everything from sourcing vintage to perfecting the little black dress. (And her Studio 54-inspired outfit in Sicily last month proves that this Italian summer is one for the books.) But few looks have been as matrimonial as her dinner at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo. Clooney’s floor-length dress is adorned with a subtle strip of lace and dainty ruffles just under the bust—a motif that repeats at her hips and knees, drawing the eye to her gown’s thigh-high slit that showed off a pair of classic tan peep-toes.
