Amal Clooney does it all. Just this week she addressed the United Nations General Assembly, and moderating a panel on human rights in Sudan. Still the barrister found time to step out for dinner in New York City.
Clooney leaned into the season’s metallic obsession. She wore a Prada minidress composed of mirrored chainmail in the brand’s triangle logo, which she coordinated with her silver pointed-toe pumps, and the hardware on her clutch.
The human rights lawyer wore a white jersey tank top underneath the metallic mini. The top’s enamel Prada logo nestled perfectly into the V-neck of her dress. She also threw on an oversized navy blazer, surely curbing the flashbulbs’ reflection off of her dress. It also made the whole ensemble a little bit more casual and appropriate for a Wednesday night dinner.
Clooney is a noted fan of disco ball dressing. In Italy this past summer she joined friends for dinner in another silver ensemble—a Studio 54-inspired Paco Rabanne babydoll dress, and for the inaugural Albie Awards from the Clooney Foundation, she mixed metallics in a beaded Atelier Versace dress.
Her trip to New York is just one moment in her recent display of top-notch fashion. The barrister spent the summer in Italy with her husband George, occasionally stepping out in a series of outfits, both vintage and contemporary—though always chic. For the 2023 DVF Awards in Venice, at which she was honored for her work on behalf of victims of human rights abuses, Clooney wore a vintage peach-colored slip from John Galliano’s spring 2000 collection for Christian Dior.
Between her archival awards looks and her stellar dinner outfits, we’re eagerly anticipating Amal Clooney’s next look—perhaps at next week’s Albie Awards?
