Barrister and human rights activist Amal Clooney has mastered corporate dressing in her own way, but lately, her style has been about all-out glamour. Back in April, she embraced spring’s sensual mood in a sparkly top, baggy jeans and a blazer, offering a grown-up alternative to the crystal-choked looks seen on recent runways.
Sexy is clearly still on the agenda for Amal. Over the weekend, she was photographed with her husband George Clooney in Lake Como wearing a sequined minidress by Ermanno Scervino. The 44-year-old’s head-turning mini was in a mermaid-esque shade of mint green, with flourishes of lace on the hemline and bodice. The neckline gave the appearance of a strapless dress, but featured thin spaghetti straps for support.
Though Amal has a penchant for scene-stealing florals – see: the caped Richard Quinn look she wore to the Met Gala in 2018 and the column gown she wore to the Prince’s Trust Awards in May this year – she’s a sucker for sequins, too. London-based brand 16Arlington supplied Amal with an ethereal feather-kissed gown last autumn, which she wore to attend the premiere of The Tender Bar at the BFI London Film Festival.
