On Sunday, Amal Clooney made one of her first public appearances since giving birth to her twins, a boy named Alexander and a girl named Ella, in June. The Lebanese human rights lawyer and her actor husband, George Clooney, were joined by Amal’s mother, Baria Alamuddin, on a parents’ night out at Il Gatto Nero restaurant in Lake Como, Italy. While her husband kept it casual in a crisp white button-down and jeans, Amal opted for an elegant pinstriped jumpsuit.
As a change of pace from her usual statement-making dresses and tailored suits, the jumpsuit proved to be Amal’s most daring sartorial look yet. She punctuated the strapless one-piece with a pair of dangling, shoulder-length earrings and a woven metallic clutch by Lebanese label Sarah’s Bag. The vertical stripes provided an elongating effect, adding an extra inch of style to the look.
The couple’s appearance comes shortly after an announcement that they’re helping to educate thousands of Syrian refugee children displaced in Lebanon through a US$2.25 million partnership with Unicef.
