Regional emerging talent convened at d3 this weekend in Dubai for the biannual fashion platform, Fashion Forward. Vogue Arabia spotted two DDFC/Vogue Fashion Prize finalists at the accessories showcase. Nathalie Trad, whose Spring 2017 collection is revealed here, was on-hand to walk people through her collection. She highlights, “I love working with different kinds of shapes. This round form (featured) is so much fun to explore. She also notes that the bag features her first use of goatskin, “I love the effect it has. It feels very dreamy, and resembles the moon when mixed with brass.” The designer-fresh off a collaboration with Rupert Sanderson-is seeking new ways to incorporate her passion for mixed materials into various designs.

Fashion Prize finalist Roula Ghalayini describes her Kline clutch (featured) as “interrupted in different ways, where you always have changing, asymmetrical perspectives.” Galayini explains that she introduced this shape to offer her growing clients-the brand was recently introduced to Galerie Lafayette Dubai-an element of surprise. “I always work to develop what people look for-such as the signature cuff boxes-but it’s always nice to see something new.”
