The Best Dressed Celebrities From the 2017 Emmy’s Red Carpet

The stars of the small-screen descended on the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night to celebrate the 69th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Blackish actor Yara Shahidi stood out in an embellished Prada number, meanwhile Sarah Paulson and Tracee Ellis Ross opted for metallic, glittering dresses by Carolina Herrera and Chanel respectively. But it was Zoë Kravitz who ultimately stole the spotlight in a feathered, rainbow-colored Dior gown. Gowns by Arab couturiers also had a moment on the red carpet. Gabrielle Union arrived in a sheer, black embellished Zuhair Murad number equipped with a capelet, while Lea Michele turned heads in a sequined, purple dress by Elie Saab.

Hosted by Stephen Colbert, the ceremony saw The Handmaid’s Tale receive four of the major accolades of the night, including the award for the most Outstanding Drama Series and Drama Actress (Elisabeth Moss). Meanwhile, Veep claimed the award for the most Outstanding Comedy for the second consecutive year, and Big Little Lies took home several prizes, including the trophy for Lead Actress Role in a Limited Series, presented to Nicole Kidman. Riz Ahmed’s win for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series made him the first actor of Asian descent to win an Emmy award, and This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown took home the award for the most Outstanding Drama Actor.
