The 14th edition of the Dubai International Film Festival kicked off on Wednesday, bringing with it a plethora of the big screen’s brightest stars. The opening-night red carpet saw multi Oscar-winning actor Cate Blanchett, American actor and singer Vanessa Williams, and Tunisian mega-star Hend Sabry wearing showstopping gowns by international and regional designers, paired with dazzling diamonds that had all the cameras clicking. Among the A-list guests was Bollywood sensation Sonam Kapoor, who chose an elegant cream-colored dress with a matching cape slung over her shoulders from Ashi Studio‘s Spring 2018 collection. French actor Olga Kurylenko showed her support for Middle Eastern talent by donning a red embellished Elie Saab gown with a high neck and oversized bow detail. Jessica Kahawaty stepped out in a garnet slip-style gown by Ralph Lauren.
