The Winning Looks at the 2017 BAFTA Awards

In Los Angeles, the Grammy Awards brought out the musicians and hit-makers. Across the pond in London, silver screen stars and royals descended on the red carpet for the 2017 BAFTA Awards at the Royal Opera House. Kate Middleton stole the spotlight in a custom floral gown designed by Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton. In a sophisticated move, the Duchess of Cambridge completed her look with rose-tinted lips, flushed cheeks, and a voluminous bouffant. Also wearing Alexander McQueen was Emily Blunt; the The Girl on the Train actress donned a ruffled organza creation with an embroidered bodice.

La La Land had a victorious night; the movie scored five awards, including Best Film. The Leading Actress award went to Emma Stone for her role in the blockbuster hit. She accepted the prize in an embellished dress layered over cropped pants, by Chanel Haute Couture, pulling off the tricky pairing with aplomb.

Elsewhere, Penélope Cruz smoldered in a gold chainmail gown by Atelier Versace, which featured dramatic winged sleeves and an asymmetrical neckline, revealing a hint of shoulder. Michelle Williams wore a sparkly A-line mini by Louis Vuitton, while Amy Adams looked sleek in an emerald green, strapless gown by Tom Ford.
