Following the success of the Lady Dior bags rehauled by ten American and British artists, the French maison is once again introducing international artists—all who have carte blanche—to reinvent the Lady Dior bag. The results span the gamut of insolent, hippie, and chaotic. One artist Lee Bull, is a Korean feminist who challenges patriarchal authority and the marginalization of women with ambitious contemporary sculptures and installations. She has taken the Lady Dior bag, first launched in 1995 and made famous when Princess Diana took a liking to it, and given it a reflective bang up. Requiring over sixty trials, the Lee Bull Lady Dior is fit with over 100 Plexiglas mirrors that create the illusion of shattered glass. For the superstitious, the bag includes silver Dior charms that dangle from the reflective handle. Limited edition. From December in the Dior boutique, Dubai Mall, and selected boutiques worldwide
