If you have been craving to step out into the fresh air for a run or just lounge about on the beach with a book — you don’t need to wait any longer. The latest update from the UAE government allows for public parks and a few private beaches to open for gatherings of five people or less starting May 12.

As a welcome change, restrictions have also been eased in shopping malls and retail outlets, public transport like trams and water taxis as well as allowance for water sports. The latest updates from the Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management also allow the refund and return of goods and use of fitting rooms in shopping malls and retail outlets, with the condition that strict precautionary conditions are observed. In addition, trams and maritime transport including the Dubai Ferry, water taxis, abras, and car-sharing services can resume operations according to timelines specified by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Sports and recreational activities will also be allowed in open spaces for up to five people, including water sports, cycling and skydiving.

As an exciting new addition to Dubai’s culture and entertainment landscape, Vox Cinemas is all set to launch its newest concept putting viewers in the driving seat. Vox Drive In, the latest attraction by holding group Majid Al Futtaim, will be launching at Mall of the Emirates soon. The cinema will be located on the third level of the Mall of the Emirates car park, next to Ski Dubai. Details of the movie timings and ticket prices will be revealed on the Vox Cinemas website. So, stay tuned!
