Wedding designer Ziad Raphael Nassar embarks on a new chapter with Ambiance, a luxury home decor brand reflecting his worldly creativity.
Byblos-born Ziad Raphael Nassar has always been daring, pushing boundaries to spin the fabric of any dream wedding. Over the past 15 years, he has worked for an array of clients including Elie Saab Junior for his marriage to Christina Mourad in 2019. “Designing a wedding requires the skill of a magician, where you transform reality into a dream and create a mesmerizing ambiance,” comments Nassar. Now, he is bringing this magic to his newly launched luxury home decor line. Ambiance, available online and soon in a showroom in Ashrafieh, Beirut, harnesses Nassar’s appreciation for aesthetics and his ability to focus on the finer details of design. Commenting on the launch, the founder states, “I am thrilled to share my passion for luxury home decor with the world.”
Featuring unique and avant-garde pieces designed by Nassar and his creative team, the three collections from Ambiance are as much a testimony to the designer’s savoir faire as they are to his perseverance. Innovative pieces such as the Pleine Lune Posée – a moon-like reflective glass on a marble slab – or the set of three bells titled Ding Dang Dong, and the Bao coffee table shaped like a tree trunk, are accompanied by a number of other household items such as candle holders, vases, patchwork cushions, and handwoven rugs. The Tour du Monde collection reflects his travels, while the Une Première series revolves around the power of nature and light. “I always find inspiration from various sources, such as nature, art, travel, cultures, history, and personal experiences.” The vibrant and colorful third collection, Hue, celebrates eclectic optimism. “I’m excited about the upcoming collection, and I can’t wait to reveal the items that my team and I are designing.”
With Ambiance, Nassar evokes his philosophy of one’s abode, “A perfect home is when the design, colors, proportion, style, and all five senses meet,” he says, adding, “Ultimately, the best home is one that sets the perfect ‘Ambiance’ and fulfills the desires of its inhabitants. As a designer, when entering any space, statement pieces catch my eye, as I believe they reflect the personality and taste of the owners.” Nassar aims to enhance the atmosphere, promote positivity and creativity, and bring diverse cultures and art into homes.
