One of Hollywood’s most beloved couples, Zendaya and Tom Holland have been casted in their first movie together outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
After having started their relationship during the filming of Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise, Zendaya and Tom Holland are set to share the screen in an entirely new film. The couple has been casted in award-winning director Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie, which is aiming for a theatrical and Imax release on July 17, 2026. According to Deadline, the name and plot of the film are under wraps, however, its cast also includes Anne Hathaway and Matt Damon.
While this will be Zendaya and Holland’s first time working with Nolan, the movie will be a homecoming for Hathaway and Damon, who previously starred in the Academy Award-winning Interstellar. Hathaway also worked with Nolan in the 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises, while Damon was recently seen in Oppenheimer. The director is known for having a cast full of A-list talents in his films, and has previously worked with Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Christian Bale, Cillian Murphy, Robert Pattinson, and more.

The upcoming movie is sure to be a highlight in Zendaya and Holland’s careers, as Nolan’s films are known to achieve great success at the box office and sweep awards. Indeed, the actors are no strangers to successful films in their own right, with Zendaya’s Dune: Part Two earning more then US $700 million globally, and Holland’s Spider Man: No Way Home also being a major hit at the box office. Ahead of the untitled Nolan film, fans will see the couple star in the upcoming fourth Spider-Man film.
In an interview on the Rich Roll Podcast, Holland shared that he and Zendaya had read the initial script for the fourth movie in the franchise. “It needs work, but the writers are doing a great job,” the actor said. “I read it three weeks ago, and it really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down and read it together, and we at times were bouncing around the living room like, ‘This is a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect.’ But there’s a few things we need to figure out before we can get that really going, but it’s exciting.”
