Congratulations are in order for Egyptian actor Yasmine Sabri and businessman Ahmed Abou Hashima who tied the knot on April 17. The wedding comes a month after the happy couple revealed their engagement on their social media.
Taking to her Instagram this time as well, the former Vogue Arabia cover star shared the announcement of her marriage with the 45-year-old entrepreneur, with her 9.8million followers. Simply captioned with the date of the wedding, “17/4/2020”, the announcement came in the form of a series of photos believed to have been taken in Cairo during the Katb El-Kitab ceremony, which is the traditional Islamic portion of the wedding. Sabri was dressed in a white Givenchy dress featuring an asymmetric hem paired with Christian Louboutin pumps in the same color, while Abou Hashima opted for a navy suit with a royal blue tie.
Even though the wedding itself was an intimate ceremony attended by a few close friends and family, the comments section of the couples’ Instagram posts were flooded with congratulatory messages and well wishes from both, fans and friends from the entertainment industry including Hala Shiha, Hanady Mehanna, Salma Abu Deif, Ahlam, Fifi Abdou, Yosra El Lozy, Amr Mostafa and TV presenter Mahira Abdulaziz. “Congratulations habibi, may God bless you,” commented Lebanese singer and actor Cyrine Abdelnour while fellow Egyptian actor Sarah El-Shamy wrote, “Mabrook ya Yasmina. The most beautiful bride ever!”
Real estate mogul and former Vogue Man Arabia cover star Mohammed Hadid also made sure to congratulate the couple through a comment on Abou Hashima’s Instagram post. “Congratulations my dear brother Ahmed,” wrote Hadid, Hadid, father of models Bella, Gigi and Anwar. “Wish you joy health and everlasting love. Stay well and safe. You are amazing. The young lady is as lucky to have you as you have her. Congrats to both.”
Rumors of Sabri and Abou Hashima’s engagement first started to make rounds in February, when the actor posted an Instagram video sporting a visibly large diamond ring on her finger which was spotted again in a video of the couple holding hands posted by the businessman.
