Everything to Know About Winter at Tantora Festival’s Return to Al Ula

Winter at Tantora, Saudi Arabia’s first arts, and culture festival is returning to the Al Ula region from December 21, 2021 to February 12, 2022. It will be a part of Al Ula Moments, which will take place over the course of four festivals themed around art, culture, nature, and wellness, among others. The event will take off with a Candlelit Symphonic Concert, held at the Unesco World Heritage Site of Hegra.

Al Ula Moments is set to run from December 21, 2021, to March 27, 2022, and promises an array of experiences ranging from arts, culture, wellness, fashion as well as equestrian events including the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Race, Al Ula Desert Polo competition and the haute couture horse fashion event, Ikmah Fashion Calvary.

The Citrus festival will showcase the region’s produce, as well as spectacular sunrise and sunset views from the Harrat Uwayrid volcanic field, along with live immersion shows held in the Al Ula Old Town.

The Al Ula Arts festival (February 13 – February 26, 2022) aims to showcase artistic talents with Al Jedidah as a hub for performances and Cinema El-Housh as a platform for the work of arthouse Saudi filmmakers. The festival will be returning with the theme of Art of Our Time once again.

Al Ula Skies will also be available for booking from February 27 – March 12, 2022, offering hot air balloon rides, helicopter rides over the rock formations of Madakheel, or vintage plane tours as well as a chance for astronomy enthusiasts to stargaze with the help of state of the art technology and music, under the light and sound experience, Constellations. Meanwhile, from March 17-27, the Al Ula Wellness Festival will be a unique intersection of fitness and the arts. The 10 day period will be marked by yoga, meditation, and mindfulness classes from the Five Senses Sanctuary.

Additionally, the venue has many other exciting offerings such as a new bike track, zip line, as well as hiking trails, and Michelin-starred dining options among others.
