Her bridal shower has only just been and gone, but Priyanka Chopra has already kicked off the next stage of her pre-wedding rituals as her big day beckons. The Quantico star has embarked on her bachelorette weekend, one week after holding her bridal shower at Tiffany & Co. in New York City. The 36-year-old actress, who is set to tie the knot with American musician Nick Jonas, uploaded an image on Saturday as she relaxed on a boat on an Amsterdam canal. “#BacheloretteVibes,” Chopra captioned the shot, in which she is pictured beaming in a feathered cream jumper, her glimmering engagement ring perfectly catching the light.
The star also coordinated her ensemble in matching socks, an ivory coat, and snakeskin boots, as she set sail with her nearest and dearest. Among those joining Chopra on her hen party is her sister-in-law-to-be, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, who is engaged to Joe Jonas. Filmmaker Shrishti Behl and Chopra’s best friend, Tamanna Dutt, are also in the Dutch city for the extravaganza, with many sharing Instagram Stories aplenty of the picturesque location. The bachelorette shot, which has garnered more than 1.6 million likes since it was uploaded, also gained the attention of Chopra’s future mother-in-law. “Be good,” commented Denise Jonas, the groom’s mother.
Among the clips shared from the escape includes one from Turner, which shows Chopra twirling in an embellished mini dress with a full, feathered train. With the Indian actor also donning a feathered Marchesa gown for her bridal shower last week, could a flurry of plumes also make an appearance on her big day? Also adding to the weekend’s high-fashion feel was Chopra’s checked skirt and two-toned jumper (as well as the obligatory bridal sash and tiara), which she wore during the festivities. The star was later captured in a tonal mustard ensemble for a night on the town, where she piggybacked Turner through the cobbled streets.
Chopra and Jonas, who became betrothed on the actress’s birthday in July after a whirlwind romance, are rumored to be tying the knot as soon as next month. The couple are reportedly set to marry in Chopra’s home nation of India between November 30 and December 2, in a three-day affair with 200 guests present.
The couple will tie the knot in Jodhpur, according to Times of India, with a source telling the publication the wedding will take place in a palace. While a location has not yet been confirmed, Jodhpur – the second largest city in Rajasthan – is home to the famed Umaid Bhavan Palace, where Liz Hurley wed Arun Nayyar back in 2007. Times of India also reports that the couple recently visited the city to finalize wedding arrangements, as well as visit friends, signaling the big day could be held in the imminent future.
Speaking at the launch of the Tiffany Blue Book Collection in New York earlier this month, Chopra opened up about her tight bond with Jonas, revealing they were united by “love for family and faith”. “We’ve known each other for a couple of years but we dated for just a little while, but I think that’s the one thing we really connect on is our love for family and knowing faith is so important to us,” she said, according to E! News. “It’s a very different feeling I never realized that having a boyfriend and having a fiancé are completely different. It just feels different. There’s gravitas. You feel like family, which is just so different.”
