Priyanka Chopra isn’t the only Indian superstar set to wed next month, with Deepika Padukone revealing she will marry her actor fiancé Ranveer Singh in November. The Bollywood power couple will hold their nuptials on November 14 and 15, Padukone revealed on Instagram, telling her 26 million followers it gives the couple “immense joy” to share their news. “We thank you for all the love you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty, friendship, and togetherness,” the Padmaavat actress added.
The couple has not yet revealed the venue for their big day, though the Hindustan Times speculates that the wedding will be held in Italy, as well as a reception in Mumbai. “As their wedding is an intimate affair, the reception will be a grand one where they will invite their Bollywood friends,” a source told the publication. Sonam Kapoor, Sophie Choudry, and Rahul Bose were among those who took to social media to congratulate the famously private couple and frequent co-stars, who are believed to have become romantically involved six years ago.
Padukone and Singh’s wedding will reportedly take place just before that of Priyanka Chopra, who also wished the couple well on their betrothal. The Quantico star and musician Nick Jonas celebrated their engagement with a glittering party in Mumbai back in August, and are rumored to marry in Chopra’s home nation next month, in a three-day affair with 200 guests present. The couple will tie the knot in Jodhpur between November 30 and December 2, according to Times of India, with a source telling the publication the wedding will take place in a palace.
While a location has not yet been confirmed, Jodhpur – the second largest city in Rajasthan – is home to the famed Umaid Bhavan Palace, where Liz Hurley wed Arun Nayyar back in 2007. Times of India also reports that the couple recently visited the city to finalize wedding arrangements, as well as visit friends, signaling the big day could be held in the imminent future.
