Dubai Royals Celebrate the Wedding of HH Sheikh Mohammed’s Daughter

The wedding of Sheikha Maryam Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohammad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan took place on Thursday.

The happy couple got engaged on August 28, 2018, and hosted a traditional Emirati ceremony on September 19, 2019. Following the Al Akhd ritual, members of the royal family congratulated the new couple on social media.

Part of the Abu Dhabi royal family, Sheikh Khaled graduated from the Sandhurst Military Academy in the UK, where he was awarded the Major General Diwan Misri Chand Platoon Award for his excellent efforts during training.

Sheikha Maryam’s wedding announcement earlier this year was followed by the marriages of Sheikh Mohammed’s three sons. H.H Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, wed Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum. He was married alongside two of his brothers, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmad bin Mohammed, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation. The grand wedding took place in  Dubai World Trade Center on July 6, 2019, which was also the third day of Eid Al-Fitr.

Although no details of Sheikha Maryam and Sheikh Khaled’s wedding were disclosed, Instagram was flooded with heartwarming wishes.
