Imagine you’re walking down a cobblestoned street on the gorgeous island of Sicily, the sun is shining on Doric-style Greek temples as the fishermen bring in the freshest catch of the day, straight from the Mediterranean Sea onto your plate. That’s how it feels to have a meal at Palazzo Versace Dubai’s Italian restaurant Vanitas — without ever leaving Dubai.

Every Tuesday, Vanitas offers a sumptuous three-course spread with antipasti favorites like prawn carpaccio and tuna tartare, perfectly al dente pasta, and fresh, seafood courses of sea bass and grilled octopus, making you feel like you have landed on the pristine blue waters of Sicily. To top an already spectacular menu, the restaurant also offers renowned Sicilian sweets starring pistachio and chocolate mousse Sicilian cannoli, as well cassata, a Sicilian sponge-cake flavored with almond marzipan and am arena cherry, both proving that desserts can be considered as the country’s greatest exports. The charming and elegant interiors of the signature Italian restaurant at Palazzo Versace Dubai, set against the Dubai Creek, coupled with an intimate ambiance for that perfect dinner date or a casual night out with friends — Vanitas has everything you are looking for this December.

And as we inch closer to the most festive time of the year,  we can’t help but look at the sparkling new dinner menu at Vanitas, from December 24-26. Housed in a neo-Renaissance style dining room decorated with murals of Roman ruins, cascading chandeliers, and gilt embellished banquet chairs, Vanitas makes you savor incomparable festive dining experiences created by expert Sicilian head-chef, Paolo Gionfriddo. Whether you opt for the signature set menu or the sensational à la carte menu, you will be spoilt for choice.
