The Lowdown

The San Régis, a five-star hotel in Paris‘s 8th arrondissement, has been owned by the Georges family since 1984. Known for its genuine family charm and discreet service, it’s a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, conveniently situated minutes from the vibrant Champs-Elysees district, Avenue Montaigne, and the Grand Palais, ensuring guests can enjoy the lively surroundings. The hotel’s elegant neoclassical front and interior design reflect its rich history as a private mansion, welcoming guests into a Parisian atmosphere.

Stylish Eats

The restaurant Les Confidences, which draws inspiration from the Japonisme movement that gained popularity in the 19th century, combines a light sea-green color with glossy black tables in an outdoor winter garden. The theme extends over to the food, as Chef Michele Fanciullo serves up flavorful, nutritious, and light seasonal dishes. For classic Parisian pastries, head to Le goûter du San Régis. Chef Jessica Prealpato, who was crowned “World’s Best Pastry Chef” by World’s 50 Best and “Pastry Chef of the Year” by the Gault & Millau guide in 2019, created the “French goûter,” a famous French pastry. Using ancient flours, raw sugars, and unidentified plants, herbs, and flowers are characteristics of the Cheffe pastry-making method.

Suite Talk

For those who desire the pinnacle of a Parisian stay, San Régis includes 30 bedrooms and 12 suites, each decorated uniquely with a classic Parisian vibe. Each has personality, draped in silken fabrics that blend perfectly with the furnishings, artwork, and Italian marble. Shades of blue, ranges of light colors, variants of reds and golden yellows, and floral fabrics are among the distinct details in the rooms. Four Terrace Junior Suites, perched on the sixth and seventh floors, provide views of the glittering Eiffel Tower and the chic Place François Premier. The suites have their patios positioned above the Paris rooftops.

Insiders Tip

The Grand Palais and the Petit Palais are a short walk from the San Régis and provide hotel guests and art enthusiasts with the opportunity to conveniently explore. Built for the 1900 Universal Exhibition, which was devoted “to the glory of French art,” the Grand Palais proudly carries out its mission by organizing the most prestigious exhibitions each year, including those by famous artists like Picasso and Monet, as well as art fairs that draw international art collectors, such as the FIAC and the Biennale des Antiquaires, and many of the highlights of Parisian culture, such as Saut Hermès, fashion shows by the biggest names in the industry, celebrations, and exclusive events.
