Where: La Plage by French Riviera, Jumeirah Al Qasr, Dubai

The Lowdown: Slip into something glam and head to La Plage by French Riviera to soak up the iconic views of Burj Al Arab all while experiencing the lively beachfront at Jumeirah Al Qasr. This spot is a new exciting addition to Jumeirah Group’s vibrant beachfront along with the emerging culinary hotspot, The Hide, and soon-to-open venues such as Bar Buci and Al Nafoorah. The Mediterranean jewel perfectly embodies that Côte D’Azure glamour, opening as a beach deck that is both stylish and scenic with a mouth-watering menu thoughtfully curated by head chef Kim Joinié-Maurin. The vibrant day-to-night setting makes for a meal of rare loveliness.

The Menu: Indulge in a deliciously fresh mix of classic and modern French-Mediterranean cuisine—perfect for sharing—that leaves the reminiscent taste of long summer days. Guests are spoiled for choice with a delectable selection of cold and hot starters including poulpe de Mediterranée, thinly sliced octopus served with a black olive tapenade and mashed potato, pizzetta truffe with crème fraiche and oignon façon tatin, the signature caramelized onion with parmesan cheese ice cream. La Plage features an impressive array of mains with highlights including the rigatoni truffe, or the black truffle rigatoni with parmesan cream and beef jus, the le poulet jaune in an Arbois emulsion and le filet de boeuf with creamy mashed potatoes and a bourguignon Sauce. The culinary fiesta does not end there: each dish is also paired with a fresh and tantalizing beverage.

The Vibe: Once inside, lush greenery surrounds elegant outdoor tables that are shaded with wooden branches, mimicking that of a luxurious beach hut—ideal for soaking up some sun during the day or enjoying a cool evening out. The contemporary design is accentuated by vibrant fabrics married with a natural color palette, together creating an effortlessly chic ambiance. On weekends, enjoy the uplifting and ambient beats with the resident DJ while taking in the mesmerizing views of the crystal-clear Arabian Gulf and the iconic Burj Al Arab Jumeirah.
