On Friday night, Vogue Italia’s new editor-in-chief, Emanuele Farneti, hosted a star-studded party at Milan’s Scalo Farini, the city’s former railway station. Aptly dubbed “The New Beginning” the show saw the space decorated with benches, barber chairs, festival lights, and neatly stacked rubber tires in an effort to recreate Italian poet Dante Alighieri’s famous poem, Divine Comedy. Farneti was joined on the night by the show’s creative director, Riccardo Tisci.
A host of supermodels were in attendance at the fashion week party, including Gigi and Bella Hadid, Vittoria Ceretti, Mariacarla Boscono, Grace Bol, and breakout model of the moment Kaia Gerber. The 1990s supers who closed Versace’s Spring 2018 show – Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen, Naomi Campbell, and Claudia Schiffer – were also at the event. They were joined by Italian designers Alberta Ferretti, Pierpaolo Piccioli, Giuseppe Zanotti, Lorenzo Serafini, and Angela Missoni among the likes of Formula 1 superstar Lewis Hamilton and actors Elisabetta Pellini and Kat Graham. Live performances by American singer Sky Ferreira and British rock band Primal Scream kept guests dancing until the early hours.
