Paying homage to Middle Eastern culture, Vogue Arabia kicked off 2018 with a bang by featuring regional sweetheart, Nancy Ajram, as cover star wearing a wardrobe of key pieces by the major maisons Prada, Burberry, Noon by Noor, and Pringle of Scotland. The January Vogue Arabia issue also shed light on an exclusive interview with Menna Shalaby’s as she discussed her career, as well as Egyptian star swimmer Farida Osman’s journey on prepping for the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Russian supermodel Irina Shayk took to the cover of the February issue. In an exclusive interview with the team, she shared: I’m “definitely happy to be on the cover of Vogue [Arabia]” and was “excited and curious to see how it would look”. The February issue also proposed a toast to celebrate the month of love, celebrating the bond popular siblings Abdallah, Kinzy and Jana Diab, the children of Zeina Ashour and Amr Diab.
In order to celebrate Vogue Arabia’s one-year print edition anniversary, three powerful covers were revealed, in the publications biggest issue yet. Imaan Hamman returned to the cover of Vogue Arabia having featured on the April 2017 Power issue, but to mark Vogue‘s first birthday she starred opposite legendary model Iman. Both models dressed in Saint Laurent and showcased contrasting black and white looks accessorized with silk turbans from the Wrap Life. The March issue also showcased an exclusive interview with Sheikha Mozah Al Maktoum, the first female pilot hailing from Dubai’s ruling family, and a candid discussion with Saint Laurent’s young creative director, Anthony Vaccarello.
