Already renowned for its covers that start important conversations and question regional norms, Vogue Arabia is making history once again with special collector’s editions of its January 2020 issue featuring Moroccan model Meryem Tilila Oulhaj. Created in collaboration with the female artisans of the Women’s Handicraft Centre in Abu Dhabi, these three copies feature bespoke designs of our logo hand-woven by the women at the UAE General Women’s Union in traditional Emirati handicraft fashion.
“The best way to ensure the survival of our heritage is to blend it with the modern, to revive it,” said HE Noura Al Suwaidi, director-general of GWU in an interview with the team. Vogue Arabia is proud to modernize the timeless embroidery techniques embedded within Emirati culture through these exclusive magazines that only three lucky readers can win.
To enter the giveaway, all you have to do is take a photo of yourself reading an issue of Vogue Arabia in the most inventive way imaginable, post it on Instagram, tag @VogueArabia, and follow our account. The three followers to submit the most innovative picture by Tuesday, February 4, will win the collector’s copies to call them their own.
