Maya Diab, Nicolas Jebran, and More Fete This Lebanese Jewelry Launch

On Saturday night, Maral Melhem launched her debut jewelry collection for VMar (a combination of her first name and that of her first jewelry design collaborator) in Lebanon with a private dinner and an exclusive party. The glamorous event unfolded at Beirut’s District S, and was attended by Lebanese superstar Maya Diab, couturier Nicolas Jebran, Vogue Arabia editor-in-chief Manuel Arnaut, and fashion consultant Michele El Khoury. Guests were treated to a delectable dinner inspired by the stones in the collection and prepared by the chef Yasmina Hayek, followed by a live performance by belly dancers and trumpeters.

Following 20 years of working in the luxury sector, including stints with Bulgari, Chopard, and de Grisogono, the gemologist decided to launch her very own range of fine jewelry. More than just a range of dazzling necklaces, rings, and cuffs, VMar also serves as a platform for emerging talent to showcase their work., with each collection the result of a combined effort from Melhem and a select artist. Her debut collection, developed with the late Lebanese interior designer Vick Vanlian, whom the name of the label pays tribute to, features titanium panthers in a rainbow of hues such as violet, lime, and turquoise.
