Eid Al-Fitr celebrations around the world will likely look very different this year compared to previous festivities, but Mina Liccione and Ali Al Sayed are taking this opportunity to shed a little positivity on the situation with a virtual variety show. Following the success of their first live variety show on Instagram back in April, the two UAE-based comedians are inviting everyone once again to partake in another online party, giving celebrating Muslims worldwide a chance to laugh and make fun Eid Al-Fitr memories from the safety of their homes.

Join Liccione and Al Sayed as they not only perform their award-winning comedic antics but also invite an impressive lineup of special guests to entertain all those tuning in to the Dubomedy Facebook Live channel on the first day of Eid. From Spain’s Got Talent winner juggler Luis Malabra and Cirque du Soleil dancer Khalid Freeman to musicians Sulha & Joel as well as a few other surprise acts, “Ali and Mina’s Eid Special” plans to bring together an eclectic mix of international talents for an evening all ages can enjoy.

Known as “Dubai’s First Lady of Comedy”, Liccione is a longtime veteran of the arts, performing on Broadway, MTV, BBC, MBC, and touring internationally while breaking stereotypes and paving the path for future female comedians. Currently, Liccione stars on Comedy Central Arabia Presents…Stand-Up! and recently became the first woman from the Middle East to film a one-hour stand-up comedy special, called Mina Liccione: Araby By Nature. “UAE’s King of Comedy” Al Sayed has performed stand-up on iconic stages and festivals in New York, Edinburgh, and Greece as well as PBS, CBS, and OSN while his most recent role sees him co-hosting Comedy Central Arabia Presents…Stand-Up! Al Sayed also joined Dave Chappelle, Trevor Noah, and the most successful comedians from the region at the Dubai Comedy Festival as both curator and performer.

The comedic husband-and-wife duo founded Dubomedy in 2008, a space for “all things comedy” and home to the region’s first comedy school to empower emerging artists on an international platform and bring together a community from diverse backgrounds through a mutual love of comedy.

Catch the special Eid Al-Fitr celebration on Dubomedy’s Facebook Live at 8 pm on the first day of Eid and email to receive the official link with more details.
