There are celebrity couples and then there is Victoria & David Beckham. Separately, the Beckhams are famous enough with Victoria a former Spice Girls member and founder of her eponymous fashion house and David one of the most renowned professional footballers in the world, even years after his retirement. However, together this power couple is unstoppable and we are reminded of this when the British duo celebrated their wedding anniversary yesterday, July 4. It’s been 21 years since the Beckhams said “I do” and to commemorate that fateful day they became husband and wife, both A-listers took to Instagram to reminisce about the iconic life they’ve since built together with their millions of followers.
Sharing memories spanning more than two decades, Victoria posted a sentimental video in tribute to the pair’s most memorable moments through the years, starting with a tender photo from their nuptials and ending with a candid behind-the-scenes clip of the two holding hands at a black-tie function. “Happy Anniversary @davidbeckham,” wrote Victoria. “I can’t believe it has been 21 years since we said ‘I do’. Four children, four dogs, so much laughter and I love you more each day.”
David also joined in on the nostalgia train with his own montage featuring admittedly humorous matching red carpet outfits as well as touching captures of the celebrity parents with their kids Romeo, Brooklyn, Harper, and Cruz. Interspersed throughout are clips of Posh Spice singing in a black catsuit from the girl band’s hit music video “Say You’ll Be There”—an affectionate throwback to the first-ever moment David saw Victoria, where the rest soon became history.
“Well about 23 years ago I was sat in a room with Gary Neville and the spice girls were on the TV and I turned around to him and said ‘ohhhh I like that one in the little black catsuit’,” David teasingly revealed in his caption, adding “who would have thought that all these years later we are celebrating 21 years of marriage and have 4 of the most beautiful and perfect kids.. Thank you & Happy Anniversary I Love You.”

In the region, Tunisian superstar Rym Saidi is also due to celebrate her wedding anniversary with Lebanese television presenter Wissam Breidy within the week. In honor of the three years of wedded bliss the Arab couple will soon have shared, Saidi posted a series of snaps recounting the emotional wedding dress fitting she experienced prior to the ceremony. Designed by Lebanese couturier Georges Hobeika, this custom mermaid gown, and a sweeping hooded veil was created from white silk tulle and intricately embroidered with sequins and organza flowers—a fairytale come true for the former Vogue Arabia cover star.
“In few days will be celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary @wissambreidy,” wrote Saidi. “Many were asking me about my wedding dress. Here as some pictures from the fitting few days before our wedding celebration day. Dress designed by the amazing @georgeshobeika. I remember I could t stop my tears from Emotions when I first tried the dress. It was exactly how I imagined to be.”
Congratulations to both of the happy couples as they continue demonstrating to all of us that true love does in fact exist in the world.
