Calling all art lovers — UAE’s pillar of the art world – World Art Dubai is commencing the season ahead of its April 2020 return, by launching Urban DXB in partnership with Rove. The grand street art event will take place from November 28 to November 30 at the Rove Dubai Marina. Free-to-attend, the artistic event will showcase art curated by Vandalist Art — a famous street art gallery from England.
“We are delighted to be renewing our partnership with World Art Dubai for Urban Art DXB. Our previous collaboration for the Emerging Artists Exhibition, earlier this year, was a huge success, so we’re looking forward to strengthening our participation through this event and World Art Dubai 2020,” said Paul Bridger, Corporate Director of Operations at Rove Hotels while sharing his thoughts about the upcoming partnership with World Art Dubai.
He added: “Providing local and international artists with an outlet to express their creativity while promoting Dubai’s local art scene, is a long-term commitment for the Rove team. Through Urban Art DXB, we can continue to nurture the current crop of talented, local street artists and inspire younger generations to follow their creative passions.”
There will be an opportunity for guests to take part in exercises like live workshops, spray painting lessons, and stencil usage skills. Not only that, but art lovers will also be able to have customized, wearable apparel starting from trainers to T-shirts decorated with extraordinary designs. All visitors need to do is bring their very own piece of clothing, and let the craftsmen do rest. For those looking to add a bit of UAE’s street art scene to their home or office, there will be limited-edition art pieces available to purchase. Every visitor will also have the option to enjoy bargains like an all-day happy hour deal on chosen house refreshments and many more F&B deals.
“Street Art was a popular feature at World Art Dubai earlier this year, so we were keen to build on that momentum and provide art fans and collectors with a targeted experience in the build-up to World Art Dubai 2020,” said Trixie LohMirmand, Senior Vice President, Exhibitions & Events Management, DWTC.
She added: “Our collaboration with Vandalist Art and continued partnership with Rove Hotels enhances World Art Dubai’s accessible focus for a plethora of art fans and collectors. This event will provide a hands-on experience for visitors and an entertaining weekend for all ages.”
