This October, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 60 of Marriott Bonvoy’s UAE properties will be jointly participating in raising funds for the Al Jalila Foundation. The initiative is in collaboration with Brest Friends, a breast cancer charity and support group.

Named the #Pinktober campaign, it will feature various activities from the participating properties, including brunches and ladies’ nights with a pink theme, afternoon teas, wellness activities, and raffles. A portion of the proceeds from these activities will be donated by each of the participating locations to the Al Jalila Foundation.

Sandeep Walia, the Chief Operating Officer of Marriott International, Middle East said, “We look forward to our annual #Pinktober campaign and supporting the amazing work that Al Jalila Foundation does to advance breast cancer awareness, treatment, and research in partnership with Brest Friends. We encourage our guests and residents to help raise awareness and precious funds for a cause that continues to impact so many lives.”

The Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal, is partnering with the foundation yet again for the campaign and will be hosting a PINKtober Chef’s Brunch by Giornotte every Friday, during the month of October. The brunch will offer guests an opportunity to donate to the foundation starting from AED 50 and enter a raffle draw to win amazing prizes, along with Giornotte’s staple culinary offerings.

W Dubai, The Palm also has an exciting lineup of dishes from both Chef Massimo Bottura’s playful Torno Subito and Chef Akira Back, as well as a selection of pink cocktails, pastries at W Lounge, as well as upgraded massages from AWAY Spa. A portion of all the revenues generated from these offerings will be donated to the Foundation.

Along with the Marriott Bonvoy group of hotels, the Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi Hotel has also announced a lineup of events dedicated to the campaign. The hotel’s interiors will be decorated in pink, alongside special #Pinktober themed food and beverage menus including a Pink Afternoon Tea set. Anantara Spa will also be offering a new treatment infused with Himalayan Pink Salt.

The Al Jalila Foundation is a global philanthropic organization founded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates. The Foundation is focused on medical research, including breast cancer.
