He’s been making his way around Dubai this week, taking in everywhere from the Burj Khalifa to getting a fresh trim at Beats and Cuts barbershop – and now Will Smith has hit up the city’s artistic hub. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air visited Dubai Design District on Wednesday, according to one local label, which welcomed the 50-year-old star into its atelier. “With the Smiths at the studio,” Arwa Al Banawi revealed to her Instagram followers, as she shared a selfie with the actor and his 20-year-old son, Jaden. The pair visited the d3-based, Saudi-born designer, where Smith Jr appeared to take a fancy to a hooded jacket from her eponymous label.
While Smith Sr wasn’t captured trying on anything from Al Banawi’s line, the I Am Legend star is renowned for his bold sense of style – particularly during the Nineties – so we wouldn’t be surprised if a piece or two caught his eye. The actor has also been joined in the Emirates by his wife of 20 years, Jada Pinkett Smith, who celebrated her husband’s milestone birthday (he turned 50 just last month) by jumping out of a plane. “He was like, ‘I want you to come to Dubai and I want to see you skydive. That is what I want for my birthday,’” Pinkett Smith told People. “I was like, ‘Really bro?’ I haven’t done a damn thing Will has wanted me to do in seven years,” added the actress. But after years of saying no to such stunts, she decided to give in. “This one year is a yes.”
