Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex’s royal tour of Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, and Tonga is officially complete. And what a whirlwind, with the Duke and Duchess undertaking more than 76 engagements throughout the four countries.

Meghan’s Cooking Skills
Meghan delighted Australians (and the Internet) when she brought homemade banana bread she baked the night before for an engagement on a family farm. Her reasoning? “She said if you go to someone’s house, you always bring something,” Benita Woodley, one of the family members on the farm, told The Mirror. And it wasn’t just any banana bread: It had chocolate chips and spices.
A Sweet Reunion
Prince Harry has met Daphne Dunne, a 98-year-old woman, not once, not twice, but three times now—she’s a royal superfan who comes out every time the prince visits Australia. After a warm embrace, Prince Harry brought over Meghan to meet her, and Dunne congratulated them both on the baby.
All Things Baby
Speaking of baby: The day before their tour began, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were expecting a child. And the Australians helped them celebrate the news, showering the couple with kind words, flowers, and lots of baby gifts. “Our first baby gift!” the duchess exclaimed after receiving a toy kangaroo, complete with a joey, and a pair of baby Ugg boots.
Nonchalant Koalas
Meghan and Harry undertook more than 76 engagements on their 16-day tour. A delightful one in particular was when they met two koalas at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney—who, according to the photos, were very nonplussed about all the attention.
The Invictus Games
The Invictus Games, the tournament Prince Harry founded for wounded service men and women, is now on its fourth iteration. “Be inspired. Get excited. Allow the example of service and determination you will see, to change something big or small in your own lives,” Prince Harry said in a speech at the games’ opening ceremony. Although the royal family can seem much about pomp and circumstance, this was a reminder of how they dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to important causes.
Meghan’s Advocacy

Meghan was well-known for her advocacy work before she met Prince Harry, and she spoke out about many important issues during the royal tour. During an appearance at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji, she got real about college affordability: “It was through scholarships, financial aid programs, and work-study—where my earnings from a job on campus went directly towards my tuition—that I was able to attend university. And without question, it was worth every effort,” she said.
Then, in Fiji, she gave a speech about women’s rights and the suffragette movement. “Women’s suffrage is about feminism, but feminism is about fairness,” she said. “Suffrage is not simply about the right to vote but also about what that represents: the basic and fundamental human right of being able to participate in the choices for your future and that of your community, the involvement and voice that allows you to be a part of the very world that you are a part of.”
All the Fashion
With engagements ranging from state dinners to forest walks, the Duchess of Sussex stepped out in wide variety of looks. There was the Oscar de La Renta dress she wore in Sydney, her laid-black blazer and eco-friendly jeans combination in Dubbo, and her black Gabriela Hearst frock in New Zealand. She also championed local talent throughout, wearing labels like Dion Lee, Zimmermann, and Martin Grant.
Affectionate Couple Moments
Prince Harry and his wife have never shied away from PDA, even when on official duties. They held hands, linked arms, and huddled under umbrellas together throughout the trip—causing most of the Internet to coo in the process.
And, in the ultimate adorable moment, Meghan appeared to borrow Harry’s jacket during an appearance in a New Zealand forest.
