Fabulous by Tom Ford is now available to purchase online and in Sephora stores across the Middle East.
From April 25-27, Tom Ford brought its Private Blend Experience to Dubai for the first time. The three-day, multi-sensory event, which saw the regional reveal of the brand’s newly-launched Fabulous fragrance, unfolded in a custom-built cube structure at Dubai’s Burj Park, against the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa. The experience was attended by the likes of Dorra Zarrouk and Tara Emad, who flew in to celebrate the splendor of Tom Ford’s range of fragrances, along with Salma Abu Deif and Saba Mubarak, fresh off their Vogue Arabia cover shoot.
Step Inside the Exhibition
The exhibition journey manifested across several rooms, which featured interactive installations spotlighting Tom Ford’s Private Blend perfumes. Guests were ushered in small groups to the different rooms, where they discovered the inspirations behind the scents. The first room featured all-black walls, which were illuminated with some of the designer’s quotes, such as “Glamour is something more than what you wear on your body,” over the sound of his voice narrating the philosophy behind Fabulous.
In the next room, a perspex box with a 360-degree, floor-to-ceiling video installation detailed the Private Blend collection and introduced Fabulous — at the end of the video, guests were spritzed with the Fabulous scent from above.
But it would not be a full immersion without the collection of perfumes. The range of over 80 fragrances was revealed to the guests in a lounge-like room, where Tom Ford’s fragrance experts (who flew in from around the world) offered personal consultations.
Among the highlights was a space completely coated in pink metal foil and carpet, which translated as a photobooth where guests took videos and selfies (discover more online at #TFPRIVATEBLENDEXPERIENCE).
The Celebrities Celebrate Tom Ford
On Thursday night, Vogue Arabia hosted a glamorous, candle-lit dinner toasting the new fragrance as well as the traveling exhibition. Held at an exclusive venue in Dubai‘s Renaissance Downtown Hotel, the VIP guest list included Arab celebrities Dorra Zarrouk, Tara Emad, Salma Abu Deif, and Saba Mubarak, alongside Saudi designer Nasiba Hafiz and Liudmila founder Najeeba Hayat, and other Tom Ford and Vogue Arabia guests.
The evening marked the second in the series of dinners hosted by Vogue Arabia and Tom Ford. The prior evening, an intiminate dinner was hosted for some of the region’s most stylish influencers, including Jessica Kahawaty, Elnaz Golrokh, Yalda Golsharifi, Farah and Nadine Abdulaziz, Ali Mostafa, and Anas Bakhash.
Following a speech by Editor-in-Chief Manuel Arnaut, the guests dined on a delectable menu of lobster salad, beef filet with whipped potato and asparagus, and chocolate trifle for dessert.
A Toast to Fabulous
Fabulous, which is the latest addition to Tom Ford’s Private Blend Collection, made its regional debut last week. The aptly-named fragrance comes in a sleek, matte black bottle that houses decadent notes of lavender, vanilla, orris root, tonka bean, and amber to create a sweet, oriental scent. The new perfume retails at 1,332 AED and is now available to purchase online and in Sephora stores across the Middle East.
