Fans of The Devil Wears Prada are in for a treat as the stars of the popular film are set to have a reunion very soon. Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and Emily Blunt have been announced as presenters at the upcoming 30th annual SAG Awards, where they will take the stage together for what will surely be a memorable moment. The awards show is set to take place on Saturday, February 24, and will stream live on Netflix, which means fans can watch the reunion as it happens.
Previous references to The Devil Wears Prada by its cast
Owing to its iconic status in pop culture, the cast has made plenty of nods to the film since its release in 2006. The most-known one being the time when Hathaway and Blunt stood on stage at the 2007 Academy Awards embodying their characters as assistants to Streep’s Miranda Priestly, who was sat in the audience and took no time in slipping back into her role with her icy cold stare. Most recently, Hathaway also mentioned her character in the film at a surprise Broadway appearance where she was joined by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who made her own little reference to Priestly. It’s safe to say that a similar throwback of sorts can be expected when The Devil Wears Prada trio is reunited on Saturday.
Blunt is also nominated for Outstanding Performance By a Female Actor in a Supporting Role, and Outstanding Performance By a Cast in a Motion Picture for Oppenheimer, while Streep’s Only Murders in the Building is nominated for Outstanding Performance By an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
